REFURBISHMENT TO FORM SEAT CUPRA SHOWROOM AND WORKSHOP
Burns Construction (Aberdeen) Ltd recently completed a car showroom and workshop refurbishment project for SEAT Cupra, transforming the former Norskab building on Craigshaw Road, Aberdeen.
The goal was to create a modern, functional space for Cupra’s first dedicated showroom and workshop in the city.
Sector: Refurbishment
Client: John Clark
Project: Seat Cupra Showroom & Workshop
Location: Aberdeen
Structural Upgrades and Interior Fit-Out
This comprehensive refurbishment included significant structural enhancements. Our team installed new steel framework, laid new foundations, and fitted a new metal decking system along with a robust floor slab.
To ensure a sleek, contemporary look, we added new wall cladding and curtain walling, followed by full internal decoration, bespoke furniture installation, and high-specification washroom fittings.
External Works and Site Transformation
In addition to the interior refurbishment, the project required extensive external groundworks. These included excavation for updated drainage systems, civil works for SSE utility services, and the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charger infrastructure.
The team also resurfaced and configured the site to form a new, dedicated car park area—ensuring functionality matched the high standards of the interior.
Delivering Excellence on a Tight Deadline
Because this was Cupra’s first showroom in Aberdeen, meeting a strict launch deadline was critical. Thanks to careful project management and close coordination with all stakeholders, we delivered the project on time and to a high standard.
This car showroom and workshop refurbishment demonstrates Burns Construction’s ability to handle complex commercial projects with precision and professionalism. From structural works to finishings and external layouts, our experience ensured every element met the client’s vision and expectations.
